About Ureaplasma Urealyticum
Ureaplasma urealyticum is a bacterium belonging to the genus Ureaplasma and the family Mycoplasmataceae[1] in the order Mycoplasmatales. This family consists of the genera Mycoplasma and Ureaplasma. These strains of bacterium are commonly found in the urogenital tracts of human beings, but overgrowth can lead to infections that cause the patient discomfort. It can be passed from mother to infant during birth or be sexually transmitted.
Detection and Diagnosis
Diagnose Ureaplasma Urealyticum with nucleic acid amplification tests (NAATs), cell culture, and other types of tests. This kit is intended for the quantitative detection of Ureaplasma urealyticum nucleic acid from the genitourinary tract secretion sample.
